Aaron & Rebecca at The Waterfoot

A relaxed, emotional day with plenty of natural moments. Watch it with the sound on to hear how the vows and speeches carry the film.

About the venue

The whole day under one roof

The Waterfoot is a four-star boutique hotel beside the River Foyle on the Waterside, at the Caw Roundabout. It is about five minutes from the city centre and close to the Foyle Bridge and City of Derry Airport, and it is licensed for civil ceremonies, so the ceremony and reception can both happen here.

Getting the most from The Waterfoot on film

No travel gap

With the ceremony and reception in one place, there is no time lost between the two. That leaves more room for portraits and more of your guests on camera.

Ten minutes by the river

If you want the Foyle in your film, plan ten minutes outside before the meal. It is the easiest way to add a sense of place.

Speeches worth hearing

Microphones go on the speakers and the top table rather than relying on the house PA, so every word of the speeches makes it into the film.
