53 Wedding Films is led by Jamie Somers, a filmmaker based in Derry with more than a decade of experience across photo and video work. The wedding side of the business is built on quality over volume: films that feel calm, honest and carefully put together, and a relaxed experience on the day.

A few common questions
Why book a videographer as well as a photographer?
Photography and film each capture the day differently. A wedding film lets you hear the vows, speeches, laughter and atmosphere in a way photography cannot, while also preserving the movement and energy of the day as it really felt.
Do you offer photography too?
53 Wedding Films is film only, and works alongside whichever photographer you choose. If you're still looking, the wedding photographers guide is a good place to start.
What's included in your full-day package?
Full-day coverage usually begins during preparations and continues through the ceremony, speeches and first dance. The package includes a short teaser film, a main wedding film, carefully edited audio and polished delivery, with exact details confirmed before booking.
We're a bit awkward on camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most couples say this, and the approach is designed around helping the day feel natural rather than staged. The focus is on quietly capturing real moments as they happen, with gentle direction only where it actually helps.
How do we secure our date?
Get in touch with your date, venue and a little about your plans. If the date is available, the next step is to confirm the booking with the agreement and a 20% booking fee.
